Disclosure: The Marketer earns a commission if you buy through some links in this article (including our GoHighLevel links and any links beginning "/go/"), at no extra cost to you. Commissions never change what we recommend or how we rank products. No company paid for placement, and no vendor reviewed this article before publication. We disclose this material connection in line with the US FTC Endorsement Guides and the Competition Bureau Canada's guidance on deceptive marketing practices.

How we research: This article is based on each vendor's own published pricing, feature and help pages, checked in October 2026. We have not run hands-on benchmarks. Prices are in USD unless noted, exclude taxes, and change often, so confirm them on the vendor's site before you buy.

The quiet advantage: knowing what a platform is actually built for before you move your clients onto it.

Most marketing software is built for one business marketing itself. GoHighLevel, which brands itself simply as HighLevel, is built for something different: an agency or consultant running marketing for many businesses at once. That one design decision explains both why agencies like it and why some solo marketers find it more than they need.

This review covers what HighLevel includes, what it costs as of October 2026, where the extra costs come from, and who should and shouldn't use it.

The verdict at a glance

HighLevel combines a CRM, pipelines, a website and funnel builder, email and SMS marketing, calling, booking calendars, reputation management, social media scheduling, courses, communities, payments and a set of AI tools in one platform. Its defining feature is the sub-account: each client gets its own workspace, and the agency manages all of them from a single login.

Best for: agencies and consultants who serve several local or small businesses and want one system instead of a stack of separate subscriptions.

Not ideal for: creators who only need a newsletter, or companies already committed to an enterprise CRM.

Strengths

  • Unlimited contacts and unlimited users on every plan (per HighLevel's pricing page, October 2026).
  • Sub-accounts for clients, with unlimited sub-accounts from the Agency Unlimited plan upwards.
  • "SaaS Mode" on the top self-serve plan lets you resell the platform as your own software.
  • A 14-day free trial on each self-serve plan.

Trade-offs

  • Breadth brings a learning curve.
  • Phone, SMS, email and some AI features carry usage-based charges on top of the subscription.
  • Several capabilities, such as the AI Employee and the white-label mobile app, are paid add-ons.

GoHighLevel pricing (as of October 2026)

HighLevel publishes three self-serve plans plus a custom Enterprise plan. The figures below come from HighLevel's own pricing page as of October 2026.

PlanMonthly priceAnnual priceSub-accountsNotable inclusions
Agency Starter$97/mo$970/yr3Unlimited contacts and users, 24/7 support
Agency Unlimited$297/mo$2,970/yrUnlimitedRebill phone and email at cost (no markup), basic API access
Agency Pro$497/mo$4,970/yrUnlimitedSaaS Mode, automated sub-account creation, rebilling with markup, advanced API access
EnterpriseCustomCustom—Dedicated success manager, white-label mobile app and HIPAA compliance included

All three self-serve plans advertise a 14-day free trial. HighLevel's pricing page notes that billing begins automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel, and that usage-based fees can apply during the trial.

The difference between Starter and Unlimited

HighLevel's own FAQ is direct about this: the main difference is the number of sub-accounts. Starter includes three, which suits one business owner or a very new agency. Unlimited removes the cap, so adding clients doesn't raise your software cost. Unlimited also lets you rebill phone and email usage to clients at cost.

SaaS Mode, explained

SaaS Mode, on the Agency Pro plan, turns HighLevel into a product you can sell under your own brand. According to HighLevel, you can sell subscriptions from your website, client accounts are created automatically, and you can rebill SMS, email and other usage with your own markup. If your plan is to productise your services rather than sell hours, this is the plan to evaluate.

Usage-based costs

This is where budgets go wrong. HighLevel's pricing page marks several core features as usage-based, including Conversation AI, Voice AI, Reviews AI, email and SMS marketing, and inbound and outbound calling. Its FAQ confirms charges for phone numbers, text messages, emails sent and premium AI usage. HighLevel publishes separate pages for general usage pricing and AI usage pricing. Check them against your expected volumes before you commit.

HighLevel's pricing page lists these priced optional add-ons as of October 2026 (some others, such as domain purchasing and the premium prospecting tool, show no fixed price):

Add-onListed price
AI Employee Growth Plan$50/month per sub-account
AI Employee Unlimited Plan$97/month per sub-account
Branded Client Portal App$49/month per sub-account
Dedicated email IPs$59/month per IP
HighLevel Certification Program$97/month
HIPAA compliance$297/month
Online listings management$30/month per sub-account
Premium support$500/month
SEO (powered by Search Atlas)$79/month per sub-account
WhatsApp integration$10/month per sub-account
White label mobile app$497/month
WordPress hostingFrom $10/month per site

According to HighLevel, most add-ons can be resold with your own markup on the Agency Pro plan.

What's included: core features

HighLevel lists the following as core features available on its plans, as of October 2026.

CRM and pipelines

Contacts, custom dashboards, reporting and sales pipelines. Every client's pipeline lives in its own sub-account, so a pipeline built for one client can be reused for the next.

Website and funnel builder

A builder for websites and funnels, with domain management, plus forms, surveys and quizzes. HighLevel's FAQ confirms you can connect custom domains to your funnels and websites. For typical local lead generation (landing page, booking, follow-up) you likely won't need a separate page builder.

Email, SMS and unified conversations

Email and SMS marketing (usage-based), inbound and outbound calling (usage-based), and a unified conversations inbox where messages from several channels land in one place.

Workflow automation

Workflow automation ties it all together: trigger follow-ups, move deals between pipeline stages, send review requests and notify your team. This is where most of the value is, and also where most of the setup time goes.

Calendars and payments

Booking calendars, plus payments and invoicing. HighLevel lists integrations with payment providers including Stripe, PayPal, NMI, Authorize.net, Square, Adyen and Razorpay.

Reputation, social and ads

Online reputation management, social media management and an ad manager all appear in HighLevel's core feature list.

Courses and communities

You can host courses and communities on the platform, which matters if you sell training alongside services.

AI tools

HighLevel's core feature list includes Conversation AI, Voice AI, Content AI, Funnel AI and Reviews AI. Several of these carry usage charges. The separately priced "AI Employee" plans (above) are a per-sub-account add-on.

HighLevel's own disclaimer is worth repeating: its AI features are software functionality that need setup, configuration and ongoing human oversight.

Snapshots

HighLevel describes a "Snapshot" library of pre-built account setups for industries such as real estate, dentists and gyms. For agencies, snapshots are how you turn one well-built client setup into a repeatable product.

White-label

According to HighLevel's FAQ, you can white-label the desktop web app so clients see your logo when they log in. A white-label mobile app is a separate add-on, listed at $497/month as of October 2026, and is included in Enterprise.

What HighLevel can replace

HighLevel's FAQ says most users replace their CRM, funnel builder, email marketing software, appointment scheduler, SMS marketing tool and review management software. Rather than repeat its savings claims, we suggest doing the maths yourself:

JobWhat you may pay for separately todayIn HighLevel?
CRM and pipelinesSales CRMYes
Funnels and websitesPage or funnel builderYes
Email and SMSEmail platform plus SMS toolYes (usage-based)
BookingScheduling toolYes

Total what you pay today for each row, add HighLevel's plan plus your estimated usage, and compare.

Downsides and the learning curve

  • Breadth over depth. A specialist email platform or landing-page tool may go deeper in its own area.
  • Setup is real work. HighLevel points to its support, its snapshot library and its user community to shorten onboarding, but you still need to build and test workflows.
  • Variable costs. Usage charges for messaging, calling and AI mean your monthly bill isn't fixed. On the Unlimited and Pro plans, you can pass these costs on to clients.
  • Add-ons add up. The white-label mobile app, AI Employee plans and the SEO add-on are all priced separately.

Who should not use GoHighLevel

  • Newsletter-first creators. A focused email tool such as Kit is simpler.
  • Pure B2B sales teams. If you only need a pipeline, look at our best CRMs for marketing agencies guide.
  • Anyone who wants to be fully set up in a day. HighLevel rewards the time you invest in setup.

Alternatives

  • HubSpot: a broad CRM and marketing suite that scales into larger organisations.
  • Systeme.io: a budget all-in-one with a free plan, aimed at solo operators. Read our Systeme.io review.
  • ClickFunnels: funnel-first, with plans from $97/month as of October 2026.
  • ActiveCampaign: if your main need is email automation rather than client management.

FAQ

How much does GoHighLevel cost?
As of October 2026, HighLevel's self-serve plans are $97/month (Agency Starter), $297/month (Agency Unlimited) and $497/month (Agency Pro), with annual prices of $970, $2,970 and $4,970. Usage-based charges and add-ons are extra.

Is there a free trial?
Yes. HighLevel advertises a 14-day free trial on each self-serve plan. Billing starts automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel.

Does every plan include unlimited contacts?
According to HighLevel, all plans include unlimited contacts and unlimited users. The sub-account limit is what differs.

Can I white-label GoHighLevel?
The desktop web app can be white-labelled. The branded mobile app is an add-on, and SaaS Mode on Agency Pro lets you sell the platform as your own.

Can I switch plans later?
HighLevel says you can upgrade at any time, paying a prorated difference mid-month, and that you can also downgrade.

Bottom line

If your business is serving several clients with lead generation, follow-up and reviews, HighLevel is one of the few platforms designed around that model from the start. Its advantage is consolidation: one system, one login, and repeatable client setups. Its cost is the time it takes to configure properly, plus usage fees you should model in advance.
