Best CRMs for Marketing Agencies (2026)

Five CRMs compared by how your agency makes money: resale, pipeline sales, email automation or a lean start.

Disclosure: The Marketer earns a commission if you buy through our GoHighLevel links in this article (the ones beginning "/go/"). Links to every other product are plain links that earn us nothing. Buying through a GoHighLevel link costs you nothing extra. Commissions never change what we recommend or how we rank products. No company paid for placement, and no vendor reviewed this article before publication. We disclose this material connection in line with the US FTC Endorsement Guides and the Competition Bureau Canada's guidance on deceptive marketing practices.

How we research: This article is based on each vendor's own published pricing, feature and help pages, checked in October 2026. We have not run hands-on benchmarks. Prices are in USD unless noted, exclude taxes, and change often, so confirm them on the vendor's site before you buy.

The quiet advantage: choosing the CRM that fits how your agency actually makes money.

There is no single best CRM for agencies, because agencies don't all earn money the same way. An agency that resells software to local businesses needs client sub-accounts and rebilling. One that wins B2B retainers needs a disciplined sales pipeline. An email-led consultancy needs automation more than deal stages. This guide sorts the options by business model, using each vendor's own published pricing and features as of October 2026.

How we chose

We compared each platform on five criteria, using only what vendors publish:

  1. Multi-client handling. Can you separate client work cleanly?
  2. Automation depth. Can follow-ups run without you?
  3. Funnels and pages. Can you capture leads without another tool?
  4. White-label and resale. Can the CRM itself become a revenue line?
  5. Cost to start. Is there a free plan or a trial?

We did not run benchmarks, and we don't publish market-share figures we can't source.

1. GoHighLevel — best overall for agencies

HighLevel is built around the agency model. Each client gets a sub-account with its own contacts, pipelines, calendars, funnels and automations, and you manage all of them from one login.

Pricing (HighLevel pricing page, October 2026):

  • Agency Starter: $97/month, 3 sub-accounts.
  • Agency Unlimited: $297/month, unlimited sub-accounts, with phone and email rebilled at cost.
  • Agency Pro: $497/month, which adds SaaS Mode (resell HighLevel as your own software) and rebilling with markup.
  • All three include unlimited contacts and users, and each has a 14-day free trial.

Why agencies choose it: CRM, pipelines, a website and funnel builder, email and SMS, calling, booking calendars, reputation management, social planning, courses and payments all sit in one place. Pre-built "snapshots" let you copy a client setup.

Watch for: usage-based charges for phone, SMS, email and some AI features, plus paid add-ons such as the AI Employee plans ($50–$97/month per sub-account) and the white-label mobile app ($497/month).

2. HubSpot — best for scaling and inbound

HubSpot organises its platform into products including Smart CRM, Marketing, Sales, Service, Content, Data and Revenue. It also offers a set of free tools to start with. It's a natural choice when your clients already use HubSpot, or when your agency sells inbound content and lead nurturing.

Pricing: HubSpot's pricing page didn't load its price data when we checked in October 2026, so we don't quote prices here. Check current tiers directly on HubSpot.

Agency note: HubSpot runs a separate Solutions Partner Program for agencies that work in clients' HubSpot accounts. It's distinct from HubSpot's affiliate program, and agencies serving clients are directed to it.

Watch for: the cost of moving up tiers and adding seats. Model your expected seats before committing.

3. Pipedrive — best for sales pipelines

Pipedrive is a sales CRM built around a visual deal pipeline. It suits agencies whose growth depends on a consistent new-business process more than on client marketing delivery.

Pricing (Pipedrive pricing page, October 2026, per seat per month, billed annually):

PlanPriceHighlights
LiteUS$14Lead, calendar and pipeline management; AI report creation; 500+ integrations
GrowthUS$39Full email sync with tracking; automations and nurturing sequences; meeting scheduler
PremiumUS$59LeadBooster lead generation and routing; custom scoring; contracts and e-signatures
UltimateUS$79Account security rules; data enrichment; sandbox; extended phone support

Pipedrive offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. Add-ons include LeadBooster, Projects, Campaigns, Web Visitors and Smart Docs, priced separately. Pipedrive says annual billing saves up to 42%.

Watch for: Pipedrive is a sales CRM, not a funnel builder or a client-delivery platform. Pair it with a page builder if you need landing pages.

4. ActiveCampaign — best email plus automation

ActiveCampaign combines email marketing, marketing automation and CRM features. Its plans, as listed in October 2026, are Starter, Plus, Pro and Enterprise, priced by contact count through a calculator on its pricing page.

What differs by plan (ActiveCampaign pricing page, October 2026):

  • Starter: limited segmentation, 5 actions per automation, 1 user.
  • Plus: unlimited automation actions, landing pages, standard segmentation, 1 user.
  • Pro: advanced segmentation, predictive and conditional content, attribution, 3 users.
  • Enterprise: premium segmentation, custom objects, SSO, a dedicated account team, 5 users.

Important for agencies: pipeline management, deal records and lead scoring sit in ActiveCampaign's Enhanced CRM add-on ("Pipelines"), which is available on the Plus, Pro and Enterprise plans. If you need a sales pipeline, budget for the add-on.

ActiveCampaign offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, and advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee.

5. Systeme.io — best budget option

Systeme.io is an all-in-one platform for funnels, email, courses and checkout.

Pricing (Systeme.io pricing page, October 2026): Free ($0, 2,000 contacts), Startup ($17/month, 5,000 contacts), Webinar ($47/month, 10,000 contacts) and Unlimited ($97/month, unlimited contacts). All plans include unlimited email sends, 0% transaction fees and unlimited sub-accounts.

Why it's on an agency list: unlimited sub-accounts on every plan, each with the same limits as your main plan, give a solo consultant a cheap way to separate client projects.

Watch for: the pricing pages we checked don't mention reselling the platform under your own brand, and the free plan allows only one automation rule.

How to choose

Do you need white-label or resale?

Choose GoHighLevel. Agency Pro's SaaS Mode is designed for exactly this.

Is new business your bottleneck?

Choose Pipedrive. Its pipeline-first design and sales automations (Growth plan and above) fit a sales-led agency.

Do you sell email-led programmes?

Choose ActiveCampaign, and add the Enhanced CRM add-on if you need pipelines.

Are your clients already on HubSpot?

Work inside their accounts and look at HubSpot's Solutions Partner Program.

Are you starting with almost no budget?

Start with Systeme.io's free plan and move up once revenue justifies it.

Migration tips

  • Export contacts first, then rebuild automations. Contacts move easily. Automations rarely do.
  • Document each workflow before you switch: its trigger, steps and the outcome it's meant to produce.
  • Run old and new systems in parallel for one billing cycle where you can.
